Programs
Our Montessori programs cater to infants, toddlers, and primary-aged children, offering nurturing, developmentally appropriate and individualized learning environments at each level. The main school day runs from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with before care available from 7:30-8:30 AM and after care from 3:00-5:30 PM (flexible options available). Transitions between grade levels are based on each child’s developmental progress, ensuring that each step in their educational journey is tailored to their unique growth and readiness. Our lead guides are highly trained through the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) or the American Montessori Society (AMS), both of which offer rigorous and authentic Montessori certification programs. These experienced guides observe each child's developmental needs and interests, providing personalized lessons in both individual and small group settings to foster a love of learning and support each child’s potential.
Nido (Infant Communty)
The Montessori Nido program, for children ages 2 months to 18 months, is designed to promote independence while fostering loving relationships with attentive adults, maintaining a 3:1 ratio at all times. In our thoughtfully arranged space, children are not kept in containers such as walkers, jumpers, or playpens. Instead, the environment encourages freedom of movement, safe discovery, and sensorial exploration. Infants are provided with opportunities to engage with their surroundings, promoting their natural development. Sleeping on floor beds allows the child the opportunity to choose when they are tired, fostering self-regulation and independence. Our schedule is thoughtfully guided by cues from each child's hunger and sleep needs. Parents are invited to provide all food items, diapers, and clothing, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
Toddler Community
Our Montessori toddler program for children ages 12 months to 3 years is designed to foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning in young children. In our carefully prepared environment, we provide engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that encourage exploration and self-discovery. Our curriculum aims to promote independence and self-sufficiency by focusing on practical life skills such as personal care, care of the environment, and food preparation. Children use a variety of manipulatives to encourage hands-on learning. Our environment also includes materials that support language development and self-expression. As children participate in these activities throughout the morning two-hour work cycle, they gain confidence and a sense of responsibility, laying a solid groundwork for their future educational journeys. Toilet learning is approached with patience and encouragement, allowing children to develop confidence and autonomy in mastering this important skill. Our program emphasizes socialization and communication, helping children learn essential skills through grace and courtesy lessons.
Primary Community
Our Primary program, for children ages 2 ½ to 6 years, ensures that children leave the program highly prepared for success in elementary school and beyond. The classroom features well-defined areas that allow for freedom of movement and choice during the morning three-hour work cycle. Practical life activities teach children to care for themselves and their environment, while sensorial experiences help them develop and refine their senses. Language activities focus on phonetic awareness, vocabulary building, writing, and the path to total reading. Montessori math materials help children grasp increasingly abstract concepts of quantity, symbol and sequence. In addition to these foundational skills, our curriculum includes lessons in science, and culture, providing a well-rounded educational experience. Our holistic approach nurtures children's emotional and social development, setting the stage for a lifetime of learning and growth.
Before and After School Care
Our before and aftercare programs offer a warm, supportive environment where children can engage in plenty of free play, both indoors and outdoors. Before care runs from 7:30-8:30 AM, providing a relaxed start to the day with activities that promote creativity and social interaction. Aftercare, from 3:00-5:30 PM, allows children to unwind after their school day with a variety of enriching activities, including outdoor play, arts and crafts, and quiet time for reading and music. Both programs emphasize choice and independence, allowing children to explore their interests in a safe and nurturing space, while also fostering a sense of community and connection with peers. Whether indoors or outdoors, the focus is on ensuring that children enjoy their time, develop their social skills, and have fun in a structured yet flexible setting.
